| Quite often, we are provided access to our clients servers, so we can directly upload and test their new sites. This has the benefits of us being able to tweak things very quickly, and gives us the opportunity to correct any problems far faster than having to constantly relay instructions to our client. All we often will require is FTP access codes and passwords to begin directly uploading from our servers to yours! It's a lot easier that way and you can be assured of complete confidentiality and security with your details |

| I would like a website. I have a host but no idea where to start |
| Okay - first we would need to know what kind of site you are hoping to have. Also, we would need to find out what kind of pages your webhost can cater for. Most hosting companies can use both HTML and ASP pages, but we would need to verify this was the case for you. We would need to know how you envisage your site - is it going to be simple, or will you need several pages, popups, and additional elements such as Contact Forms, Feedback Forms etc. Perhaps you intend on having lots of images and graphics? We would need to establish what it is you are looking for |
| Why would you need FTP access to my host? |
| There are a few good reasons why this makes sense. For one, it means that we can upload the information and site pages that we create for you directly from our server. It makes it a lot easier than sending megabytes of material to you which would need to be sent across in a zip format, or even on a CD disc or DVD. If there are issues, then correcting them sometimes can be a lot quicker if we are directly uploading to your server, instead of trying to fix things remotely when we have no access |
| If you design my site, what is the process? |
Once we try to verify what kind of site you are looking for, we will firstly give you an estimate as to its costs. These costs will vary according to what kind of site you want - how complex or how easy it may be. It also varies according to graphics - examples:
- Do we need to do a lot of photo editing?
- Do we need to create many new images?
- Do we need to design a logo for your website?

These people will be viewing the website for a specific reason and it is important to know exactly what they are looking for when they visit the site. A clearly defined purpose or goal of the site as well as an understanding of what visitors want to do or feel when they come to your site will help to identify the target audience
